have given a brief sign of the environment in which has operated the XI
Zone Patriots and of the actions developed in As
we have remembered, the operational order emanated by the general

June 8, two days after the order, when the road no. 12th were
disconnected by the explosions of the mined bridges, and when the German
trucks were attached with hand-bombs by the patrols displaced in forced
points, a car of the Japanese diplomatic Body remained involved in the
story of war. Stopped by one of these patrols of patriots which was
hindering the German military transit with road nails and actions to fire
in the place «Pits of the Affrico» next to the I cross Abetone, Middle
Italy, the car immediately stopped. The driver, immediately separated the

to the patriots declaring to be Italian. He drew near the patriots with

Country in Italy to the command of seven hundred men that Battalion
formed Italian Patriots «Pippo» who operated, with autonomous command,
on the front of the Gothic Line from October 6, 1944 up to the Spring
